Terminator Salvation is set in
the post-apocalyptic era of 2018. After the lethally omnipotent
Skynet destroyed much of the human race in a nuclear holocaust, a
group of survivors struggles to prevent the terrible machines from
completing the job. John Connor (Christian Bale) is the man who has
been fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and it's huge
army of Terminators.
However, the future Connor was raised to
believe in has been altered in part by the sudden appearance of
Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is
images of being on death row. Connor must make a decision. Has
Marcus been sent from the future, or has he been rescued from the
past? As Skynet prepares it's final onslaught, Connor and Marcus
together embark on an odyssey that leads them into the very heart of
Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the dreadful secret behind
the possible annihilation of the human race.
